Mr Bate and Miss Hefford and Classes 6B and 6H welcome you to Year 6!

Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions, we hope they will help you and your child with the transition to Year 6.

P.E.

6H PE sessions are on Monday and Wednesday each week.

6B PE sessions are on Monday and Friday each week.

Homework

Super Sentences will be given out on a Friday and tested 2 weeks on the next Friday. These include spellings.

Maths and English will be given out on alternate weeks, given out on a Monday and collected in the following Monday.

In addition, a Family Learning Project is set each term. Details are in the Curriculum Information Leaflet for parents.

Reading Books

Please encourage your child to read daily at home. Library books or school reading books may be enjoyed.

Water bottles

Your child needs a water bottle in school. They are kept in the classroom and available during the day, apart from during focused teaching time.

Concerns

If you have any concerns and feel you need to speak to us, please don't hesitate....after school is best as mornings tend to be very busy. Alternatively, you may wish to make an appointment to speak to Mrs Cartwright as Phase 2 Leader.

We look forward to working with you and your children in this very important year.
