Your class teachers are Mr Grice (4G) and Miss Moseley (4M).
Our Topic for this half term is 'Out with a Bang!'
We will be learning all about volcanoes and the impact on Britain of the Ancient Romans.
Our areas of study will include how volcanoes are formed, where they are located and what happens when they erupt.
We will also learn about how and why the Romans invaded Britain, the impact on the Celtic tribes at that time, and the legacy the Romans left behind.
Any research that your child can complete during the Autumn Term will help them throughout the topic and will be shared with the class.
You can find our Out with a Bang! knowledge organiser in Useful Information. This will be stuck in children's books and will be used throughout our topic work.
Our Science area of study for this half term is Sound.
Amongst our discussions, we will learn about how sounds are made, how they travel and how they can be changed.
You can find our Sound knowledge organiser sheet in Useful Information. These are stuck into the children's books and will be used throughout our Science work.
4G will be swimming on Mondays and have PE on Wednesdays
It is crucial that swimming kit and monetary contributions are brought into school on Mondays.
4M will have PE on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Please ensure long hair is tied back and any earrings are removed on these days. It is helpful if girls wearing tights have a spare pair of socks in their PE bags.
Please make sure all of your child's clothing is named, especially jumpers and cardigans which they take off during the day.
