Woodside Primary School Closed 9.1.26

Woodside School is closed due to Snow tomorrow 9th January 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are writing to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to close the school tomorrow and move to online learning for all pupils.

This decision has not been taken lightly. As always, our priority is the safety of our pupils, staff, and families travelling to and from school. Where it is necessary, a decision to close the school is based on the conditions at the time the decision is made, even if forecasts suggest that the situation may improve later in the day. This approach allows us to make the safest and most appropriate choice for everyone.

Given the current conditions, we believe that moving to online learning tomorrow is the most responsible course of action in the interest of everyone’s safety.

Teachers have set home learning on Google Classroom (Years 1-6), on Tapestry (EYFS) and on Evidence for Learning (Orchard).

We hope the weather conditions improve over the weekend and that it will be able to open the school on Monday. We will update you again on Sunday evening.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We appreciate that school closures can be disruptive, and we are grateful for your cooperation as we prioritise the wellbeing of our whole school community.

Kind regards,

Miss Green and Miss Pickles
