Children are encouraged to write for a purpose at home using grammar and punctuation taught at school. Children are encouraged to revisit capital letters, full stops, commas and other higher level punctuation when ready. Spellings are in the Pupil Planner.   Our children will be sent home with a journal to record their writing activities.  The Year 6 Journal Activities can be found below.  Any other home activities our children engage in, encourage them to write about it.  For example, writing a recipe after baking or creating an imaginative story for a younger family member to enjoy and act out.
